To celebrate the centenary of Xiamen University, XMU and Nature, a top academic journal in the world, jointly launched a series of reports on the 100^th anniversary, which were published on the regular issue of Jan. 7^th, Jan. 21^st and Feb. 25^th; a special issue’s website was formally released on Feb. 26^th. 

Themed on “Scaling New Heights”, the special issue gives an overall introduction of the major scientific progresses and achievements made by XMU during its one-hundred years of teaching and research. It mainly includes an interview with the President, a campus profile and the distinctive development as well as major innovations in key fields and first-class disciplines of science, humanities and social science.
