Notice on Undergraduate Course Selection for the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year

Dear Students:

Course selection for the Fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year is about to begin, in order to ensure that this selection goes smoothly, the following matters are explained below:


I. Scope of Course Selection

The course selection is open to all undergraduates and exchange students of the university, and the scope of course selection includes undergraduate courses as well as graduate courses open to undergraduates.


Ⅱ. Timetable for the course selection

Please make sure that you select, modify or drop out a course through the system within the specified time according to the timetable below; selecting or dropping a course before or after the specified time will result in invalid results. You can check your course selection result on the My Schedule App in Academic Affairs System (jw.xmu.edu.cn). Please note that the selected Graduate Courses are usually displayed on the right side.

1st round

10:00 a.m, July 8th – 10:00 a.m, July 11th (Beijing Time)

Pre-selection, students should choose any courses they want to take (Some courses are restricted based on student’s major). Courses are allocated randomly during this time cycle.

*If you can not register to the courses you want, you can continue your course selection in the 2nd cycle.

2nd round

10:00 a.m, July 14th – 10:00 a.m, July 16th (Beijing Time)

Pre-selection, students should choose any courses they want to take (Some courses are restricted based on student’s major). Courses are allocated randomly during this time cycle. Course selection website: xk.xmu.edu.cn


*If you can not register to the courses you want, you can continue your course selection in the 3rd cycle

3rd round

10:00 a.m, July 18th – 10:00 a.m, July 31st (Beijing Time)

On a first-come, first-served basis.

4th round

10:00 a.m, August 26th – 10:00 a.m, September 6th (Beijing Time)

On a first-come, first-served basis.

10:00 a.m, September 8th – 10:00 a.m, September 13th (Beijing Time)

Drop-out stage.

10:00 a.m, September 8th – 10:00 a.m, September 13th (Beijing Time)

If you have special needs for course selection, you can submit your selection appeal through Academic Affairs System (jw.xmu.edu.cn), and the unit offering the course or the instructor of the course will deal with it on a case-by-case basis.


III. Account

The account number is the student number and the initial password will be given by the programme coordinator at the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.

For queries about major course arrangements and study requirements during the course selection process, please consult the academic secretary of your college/school/department.


IV. Course selection of Chinese language program offered by Overseas Education College

Students enrolled to the Chinese language program offered by Overseas Education College will receive course selection notice sent later on by the college, and will need to choose the program courses from the college’s system. However, if students wish to choose other courses beside the Chinese language courses, they need to follow the above-mentioned university course selection procedures.
