XMU holds the 2019 International Symposium on Belt and Road Cultural Exchange and Mutual Learning
On December 10, the 2019 International Symposium on Belt and Road Cultural Exchange and Mutual Learning was opened at the Science and Art Center of Xiamen University (XMU). This was the first academic conference about cultural exchanges between countries along the "Belt and Road" held by XMU. More than 40 experts and scholars from Turkey, Malaysia, and other countries gathered together to have open and candid discussions and contribute wisdom to the development of the Belt and Road Initiative. Vice President Yang Bin and Prof. Mohammad Bagher Ghahramani, Vice President for International Affairs of University of Tehran attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The symposium consisted of four parallel sessions, and experts and scholars had a one-day discussion and sharing around topics on:“exchange and cooperation in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative", "Turkish culture and education", "history of Turkey and Iran" and "Belt and Road countries in history".
