From August 9 to 15, the International Top University Regatta 2019 was held in Qingdao, China. As part of a series of events of the 11th Qingdao International Sailing Week & Qingdao International Marine Festival, the competition was co-hosted by the Qingdao Municipal Government and the Qingdao Yachting Association. A total of 12 well-known universities around the world were invited for participation including University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Tsinghua University, Qingdao University and Xiamen University. After five rounds of matches, XMU Regatta team came first, followed by Monash University.
