Rich celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) were held by overseas Confucius Institutes co-established by Xiamen University and foreign institutions around the world. On September 27, 2019, at a Confucius Classroom of the Confucius Institute San Diego State University, an exhibition of Chinese calligraphy & painting by famous masters in honor of the 70^th anniversary of the founding of PRC was held, stimulating students’ passion for learning about Chinese cultures. During the exhibition, students were encouraged to present their works of calligraphy and Chinese folk papercut. At the Confucius Institute at Victoria University of Wellington, students performed singing and dancing to celebrate the 70^th anniversary.
