On October 12, the Annual International Forum on Higher Education 2019 hosted by China Association of Higher Education (CAHE) was opened at Lanzhou University. President Zhang Rong attended the forum and delivered a report titled "Adhere to all-round development education and build a high-quality talent cultivation system". The theme for the 2019 forum was "International Horizons and China Experience of Higher Education Modernization", and guests and experts from 24 counties gathered to discuss the developments of higher education. At the closing ceremony, Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of CAHE and former Vice President Wu Daguang made a summary report of the forum.
