The 2019 In-Service Training Workshop for Confucius Institute Directors is opened at XMU
On October 17, the 2019 In-Service Training Workshop for Confucius Institute Directors hosted by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) was opened at Xiamen. This was the 11th time that XMU had organized the training workshop. A total of 47 Confucius Institute directors from 30 countries across five continents participated in the training. Yu Yunfeng, Deputy Director-General of Hanban and Vice President Yang Bin addressed the opening ceremony. On behalf of the Confucius Institute directors, Prof. Charles O. Esimone, Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University made a speech in which he shared his experience on Confucius Institute operation and management. The 2019 training workshop mainly focused on two issues: "the orientation and characteristic development of Confucius Institutes" and "connotation construction and quality enhancement of Confucius Institutes."
