On March 15, Mr. Alistair Coe, the Liberal leader of the Australian Capital Territory Legislature led a delegation to visit XMU.
Vice-President Yang Bin received the guests, and both sides discussed the improvement of academic exchange and education cooperation. Yang introduced XMU's school-running characteristics, current situation and its collaboration with Australian universities and colleges. Yang pointed out that XMU, a university featuring openness and inclusiveness, has been attaching great importance to the cooperation with foreign universities and colleges. He also hoped that this visit would promote friendly exchanges between XMU and Australian universities and colleges.
Coe showed his thanks for the warm reception and expressed appreciation of the open and inclusive campus culture and the international development strategy of XMU. He hoped to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between XMU and Australian universities and colleges to increase mutual understanding and mutual development.
