On March 23, a Hong Kong Po Leung Kuk (PLK) delegation visited XMU and met President Zhang Rong.

Zhang welcomed the delegation and had an in-depth exchange with Mr. Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, the Secretary for Education of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and Ms. Chu Lee Yuet Wah, the chairman of the board of PLK. The discussion aimed to enhance mobility and cooperation in education, bringing more opportunities for Hong Kong students to further study in mainland China and improving teaching quality.

The presidents, teachers and students from affiliated middle schools of Po Leung Kuk also visited XMU. They participated in a series of activities such as watching XMU propaganda film and attending lectures on Hong Kong university entrance. After appreciating XMU's favourable educational environment, excellent faculty, superior academic resources and colourful campus life, the teachers and students showed great interest in furthering study in XMU.
