On April 18, a delegation of 8 people from University Côte d' Azur (UCA) visited XMU, and both sides reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation in many disciplines.

Members of the delegation included Prof. Emmanuel Tric, the President of Université de Nice Sophia-Antipolis, Mrs. Véronique Paquis, the Deputy Mayor of Nice, Prof. Stéphane Ngô Maï, the Vice President of UCA and Prof. Jean Christophe Martin, the Vice President of UCA.

Vice-President Yang Bin introduced the current situation of XMU and explained its cooperation with French universities and colleges. Yang emphasized the friendly ties between China and French, especially between Xiamen and Nice, and hoped that the collaboration and exchange would strengthen relations between XMU and UCA. 

Both sides reached a preliminary consensus on further cooperation in many disciplines such as economic management, film art, tourism, biomedicine, marine sciences and the radiation function of Confucius Institutes.
