Recently, senior student Shao Jinshi from the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures won the Best Choice Award of "2013 Lin Yutang Literary Prize". As the highest honor for literary translation, it was awarded to only five translators.
This year´s contest, inclusive to Chinese people all over the world, was hosted by the Lin Yutang House at the aim of memorizing Mr. Lin Yutang´s contribution to literary creation and encouraging Chinese translators. This contest included two parts: literary creation and literary translation, and took two month for assessment. Shao Jingshi stood out from the rest after first and final assessments, and won the Best Choice Award. It is worth mentioning that there are few mainland participants won the award previously.
This is the third grand award that Shao won after the Special Award in 2011 "FLTRP" English Public Speaking Contest and the First Prize in 2012 YGYM Translation Contest.
