On the afternoon of November 3 rd, Professor Chris Brink -- vice chancellor of Newcastle University, along with his delegation, visited the School of Public Health of XMU. Dr.Zhu Chongshi, president of Xiamen University, led them to the tour. 

On a symposium, Professor Lin Zhongning, vice dean of the School of Public Health, made a brief introduction of the school. Xia Ningshao, as dean of the school, extended his wishes to conduct practical corporations with Newcastle University in programs like students exchanging and joint education. 

President Zhu pointed out that life science and medical science as advantageous subjects of Newcastle University are highly complementary to Xiamen University. He wished to see more communication and cooperation in those fields between Newcastle University and XMU to further promote the development of the two sides, strengthen communication between European and china, and enhance the wellbeing of world people. In the end, President Brink praised the achievements made by the School of Public Health and showed great interest to future cooperation.
